Obituary

Ronald L. Buck, age 60, of Minerva, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in Aultman Hospital in Canton. He was born July 16, 1951 in Alliance, Ohio to Brady and Ellen (Morgan) Buck. He worked maintenance at Mac Trailer, and had worked at Metaldyne (Burn's Cold Forge) in Minerva. He is a member of the Alliance First Christian Church where he sang in the choir, was a member of the handbell choir and was in the church plays. He is a former member of the Minerva First Christian Church where he had been an Elder, Trustee, Deacon, member of the choir and Sunday School Teacher. He graduated from Minerva High School in 1970. Ron was very active in the Boy Scouts, having been a Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 150 in Minerva for 11 years and Cubmaster of Pack 150 in Minerva, 5th year Pipestone holder, Woodbadge: Antelope Patrol, and Order of the Arrow. He loved camping and hiking. He led a crew to Philmont and never missed a year camping at Seven Ranges Boy Scout Reservation.
He is survived by his wife, Debra (Skaggs) Buck whom he married in 2011; daughter, Jessica (Brian) Cully of Columbus; 3 sons, Randall (Jennifer) Buck of Alliance, Jerad (Stacy) Buck of Canton and Ryan Buck of Fayettville, NC; his twin sister, Donna (David) Dennis of Minerva and 4 grandchildren, Evan, Everett, Hope and Grace.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia (Cogan) Buck who died in 2010 and a sister, Patty Lou Buck.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 am in the Alliance First Christian Church with Pamela Bruno and Ralph Norman officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens in Minerva. Calling hours will be Sunday 2-5 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva and one hour prior to services at the church.
