Roger L. Whitehair

Age 78, of Kensington, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025 in Aultman Hospital. He was born Sept. 28, 1946 in Flemington, WV to Walter and Ellen Rose (Jenkins) Whitehair. He worked for Reeder Lumber for 13 years and retired from Summitville Tile after he worked for 28 years.  He loved to spend his free time hunting, repairing cars and building model cars. He is a member of the NRA and is a native American Navajo and Cherokee.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley (Chilson) Whitehair whom he married June 10, 1966, 4 sisters, Violet Rose "Toonie" (William) McGuire of Dungannon, Donna Westfall of WV, Patricia McCloy of WV, Delores (Haley) Davis of GA, 4 brothers, Donald (Eulevene) Whitehair of Kensington, Delmous (Shirley) Whitehair of WV, Patrick (Patricia) Whitehair of SC, Michael (Tom) Whitehair of WV and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Betty Pitts, Diane Whitehair and a brother, Glen Whitehair.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Terry Livengood officiating.  Calling hours will be 2 hours prior to services from 5:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home.
