Roger E. Gropp

Age 80, of Minerva, died Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Minerva Healthcare and Rehab Center. He was born September 24, 1939 in St. Joseph County, Indiana to John C. and Lydia May (Brown) Gropp. He was retired from Wheelabrators after 20 years and worked at Dodges in Mishawaka, IN. He was a member of the Minerva Apostolic Church.

He is survived by a wife, Karen (Jellison) Gropp, whom he married September 28, 1974; Children, Kim Gropp of St. Louis, MO and Tim (Christine) Gropp of Minerva; 2 grandchildren, Timmy Gropp and Joel Gropp.

He is preceded in death by 5 brothers, Bernie (Reenie) Gropp, Elvin (Mildred) Gropp, Wes (Ollie) Gropp, Ralph (Fern) Gropp, Walt (Gerry) Gropp; 3 sisters, Vera Fay, Eileen (Dale) Bressler, Ruth C. (Art) Wolford.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00pm in the Minerva Apostolic Church with Pastor Tim Gropp officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 11am-1pm prior to the services on Tuesday at the church.
