Rodney L. Cogan

Age 68, of Minerva, died Friday, July 22, 2022 following injuries sustained in an accident.  He was born Jan. 3, 1954 in Minerva to the late Dwain and Faye (Kelley) Cogan. He had worked for the Timken Company in Canton, Document Concepts in Canton and Dutchcraft in Minerva. He is a member of the Minerva First Christian Church where he had been a Trustee and Deacon and member of the Fidelis and Challengers Sunday School Class. He graduated from Minerva High School in 1973.

He is survived by his wife, B. Jean (Harsh) Cogan whom he married Sept. 5, 1986, daughter, Michelle Cogan of Minerva, son, Kevin Cogan of Minerva, 3 sisters, Diane (Tim) Smith of Minerva, Barb (Rick) Gill of Minerva, Sally (Derek) Gordon of Columbus, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jay (Debbie) Harsh and Joann (Butch) Vandegrift both of Minerva. He is preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Patty and Ron Buck.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Jason Jackson officiating.  Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Wednesday 5-8 pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
