Rodney Cheuvront Sr.
Age 70, of Minerva died Friday Nov. 22, 2013 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born May 22, 1943 in Jewett to Jesse and Violet (Starcher) Cheuvront. He worked as a mechanic and in the auto industry and as a truck driver. He was a former member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle, member of the AARP and the Cadiz Gun Club.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Grace "Liz" (Snyder) Cheuvront who died in 2003 and a brother, Morris Cheuvront. He is survived by 6 children; Loretta (Rich) Clapper of Massillon, Rodney (Heather) Cheuvront Jr. of Heaters, WV, Darla (Bob) Dowdell of GA, Paul Cheuvront of Minerva, Stephen (Tara) Cheuvront of Atwater and April (Joseph) Mayle of Canton, 2 sisters; Sandy Leake of Salineville and Brenda Goforth of SC, 2 brothers; Richard Cheuvront of Kensington and Keith (Terry) Cheuvront of Louisville, 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held Monday at 11:00 am in Liberty Cemetery with Bishop Harold Strange officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
