Robert W. Thrower, age 78, of Paris, died Thursday, December 11, 2014 in Oakhill Manor. He was born Feb. 27, 1936 in Alliance, OH to William and Catherine (Kump) Thrower. He was the owner of Bob Thrower Genie Distribution and was a HAM Operator (K8EWX) and was a graduate of Alliance High School.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Thewes) Thrower whom he married Sept. 25, 1976; 3 daughters, Tina Speakman of Paris, Wendy (Richard) Short of Salem, Melissa (Rick) Spall of Minerva; 2 sons, Jay (Chris) Linder of Massillon, and Robert (Andrea) Thrower of Massillon; a sister Kathy; and 11 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a son, Teddy Linder and a son-in-law, Kevin Speakman.

Funeral services will Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery in Harrisburg(Louisville). Calling hours will be Sunday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral Home.
