Robert L. Smith

Age 64, of Minerva, died Wednesday, May 3, 2023 in University Hospital in Cleveland. He was born Aug. 27, 1958 in Canton to the late Herman and Evelyn (Long) Smith. He retired from Harrison Paint in Canton where he had worked for 30 years. He is a US Army Veteran and a a member of the Bridge Methodist Church. He graduated from Minerva High School in 1976. He loved to ride horses and spend time outdoors, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Hawkins) Smith whom he married June 29, 1978, 2 daughters, Brandi (Brian) Grove of Minerva, Bobbie (Mike) Waller of Senacaville, sister, Christy (Jerry) Simon of Canton South, 5 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. He is preceded in death by 4 brothers, Herman "Jim", Dale, Dennis and Glenn Smith.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Friday, May 12 ^th at 7:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Hill officiating.
