Robert K. Hetherington

Age 88, of Minerva, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024 in Aultman Hospital.  He was born July 16, 1935 in Canton to Richard and Katherine (Moser) Hetherington.  He retired from Fleming Foods in Massillon where he worked for 27 years.  After retirement he worked for Kishman's IGA in Minerva.  He is a member of the Minerva First Christian Church, Augusta Lodge #504 F&AM and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton.  He is a US Air Force Veteran.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sondra (Venables) Hetherington who died in 2014 and  his twin brother, Richard Hetherington.  He is survived by 2 sons, Jon Thomas Hetherington of Wooster, Robert Todd Hetherington of Minerva, sister, Sandra Oberholtzer of Columbiana, 2 brothers, Roger (Syl) Hetherington of VA, William (Linda) Hetherington of TX and 2 grandsons, Noah Thomas and Jeffery Stuart Hetherington both of Youngstown.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 in Bethlehem Cemetery in Malvern with Mr. Zach Long officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Minerva First Christian Church or Augusta Lodge #504.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
