Robert C. Grunder

Age 87, of Salem, OH died Friday, December 8 ^th 2017 in Green Meadows Health & Wellness Center. He was born in Moultrie on June 6, 1930 to Carl and Zola (Johnson) Grunder. He graduated from Minerva High school in 1948. He retired from Lordstown GM where he was an operating Engineer and Millwright. In his younger days, he worked as a Coal Miner for his father-in-law at H.S. Peterson Coal Mine. A dog lover, he and his wife were members of the American Kennel Club and showed dogs for many years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Ann (Peterson) Grunder, who died in 2011; son-in-law, Duane Miller, 2 sisters, Louise Bowman and Charlotte Betz. He is survived by 3 daughters, Terri Miller (Ron Redinger) of Alliance, Lori (Mike) Rinaldi of Alliance, Kelli (Steve) Funk of Damascus; a son, Robert L. (Debbie) Grunder) of Orchard Park, NY; a sister, Betty Dailey of Fredericktown; a brother, Scott Grunder of Newton Falls; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Following cremation, a casual memorial service will be held at 11 am on Monday, December 18 ^th in the chapel at East Lawn Cemetery in Minerva with Rev. Harley Wheeler officiating. The family would like to thank the staff of Green Meadows for all of their wonderful care.
