Robert "Nubs" Fankhauser, age 66, of Minerva, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in Canterbury Villa in Alliance. He was born Aug. 13, 1947 in Pekin, OH to Arthur and Isabelle (Steves) Fankhauser. He was a machinist for Kennametal Machine Co. in Solon. He was a US Army Veteran and member of the VFW post #4120 in Minerva and the American Legion post #375 in Malvern.

He is survived by his caregiver, Kathy Russell of Minerva; his companion, Joyce Severn of Minerva; 2 sisters, Dorothy "Dottie" Farber of Minerva, Juanita (Raymond) Keister of Minerva; 6 brothers, Charles (Sarah) Fankhauser of Minerva, William (Helen) Fankhauser of Minerva, Richard (Marilyn) Fankhauser of PA, Larry (Sharon) Fankhauser of Minerva, Bruce (Vickie) Fankhauser of Minerva, "Eugene Fankhauser of Minerva.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Hardesty.
