Robert E. Day

Age 65, of Minerva, died Wed., June 20, 2018. He was born Dec. 31, 1952 in Canton.  He worked for 20 years at Unifrax in Sebring and was a machinist by trade.  He graduated from Minerva High School in 1972 and received as Assoc. Degree in Engineering.  He is a US Navy Veteran and a member of the Bayard United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda (James) Day whom he married Sept. 15, 1976, 2 daughters, Amanda (Steve) Vandal of East Rochester, Emily (Travis) Winter of Minerva, father, James (Millie) Day of Port St. Lucie, FL, sister, Shirley DeLane of Minerva, brother, Gary (Sandi) Day of Minerva, 4 grandchildren, Logan, Payton, Landon and Audrey. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Day and a sister, Bonnie Day.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 6-8 pm and one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Sat.
