Robert J. Blackburn
Age 51 of Minerva died Fri. Aug. 19, 2011. He was born June 14, 1960 in Canton. He is the co-owner of EmbroidMe in Alliance. He graduated from Minerva High School in 1978 and is a member of Grace Chapel in Minerva, Vice-President of the Minerva Rotary and a board member of the Alliance Chamber of Commerce.
A loving, giving, Christian man, he is survived by his wife Wendy (Rowe) whom he married May 7, 1982, daughter, Cori Blackburn of Minerva, son, Joshua Blackburn of New York City, mother and father, James and Martha (Fisher) Blackburn of Minerva, two brothers; Donald (Ann) Blackburn of Minerva and Jason (Adrienne) Blackburn of North Canton, mother and father-in-law, Robert (Billie) Rowe of Minerva and 8 nieces and nephews; Evan, Matthew, Philip, Abigail, Aidan, Austin, Ian, and Aaron.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Minerva First Christian Church with Rev. Kirt Henman officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Chapel Memorial Fund.
