Ricky A. Lautzenheiser Sr.
Age 71, of Minerva passed away, Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024 in Aultman Hospital. He was born June 12, 1953 in Canton to Clyde and Yvette (Draher) Lautzenheiser. He retired from the Electrician's Local #540 in Canton where he had worked for almost 50 years. He graduated from Minerva High School in 1971 and is a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Minerva Eagles for many years and was a youth baseball coach. He loved bowling on several local leagues and was an avid fisherman, and loved to trap and hunt.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (Eckler) Lautzenheiser whom he married June 12, 1971, 2 daughters, Loree Ann Lautzenheiser of Minerva, Heather Jo (Scott) Workman of Houston, TX, 2 sons, Ricky (Kisha) Lautzenheiser Jr. of Minerva, Matthew (Abby Mick) Lautzenheiser of Minerva, 2 brothers, Larry (Joy) Lautzenheiser of Hamilton, Gary (Judy) Lautzenheiser of Minerva, 8 grandchildren; Kyle Lautzenheiser, Ian Landwert, Courtney Workman, Breanna Green, Sydney Lautzenheiser, Dakota Workman, Ahdyn Lautzenheiser, Hannah Mick, 4 great grandchildren; Lyle Landwert, Jaxon Marcella, Darick Latham and Oaklynn Lautzenheiser. He is preceded in death a grandson, William Landwert.
Calling hours will be Monday, Oct. 28th from 6-8 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. A graveside service with full military honors will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in the New Franklin Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation.
