Ricky A. Cress

Age 67, of Minerva, passed away Monday, July 6, 2026. He was born September 21, 1958 in Salem to the late Robert and Deloris (Phillips) Cress. He works for Cutler Machine in Minerva and had previously worked for Colfor in Malvern for 30 years and Rockwell International in CA. He graduated from Minerva High School in 1977 and San Bernadino College. He is a US Marine Veteran serving as a journeyman engineer as a helicopter mechanic and stationed in Japan and South Korea and in the Iran Iraq War.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucinda (Wilson) Cress who died in 2024, a brother, Robert Cress and a sister-in-law, Brenda (Pitts) Cress. He is survived by a son, Eric Cress of CA, daughter, Teri (Brandon) Kale of Butler, PA, stepson, Brian Brim Jr. of Cantono, 2 sisters, Karlene (Terry) Ewing of Beloit, Benee (Dennis) Haynam of Waunakee, WI, 4 brothers, Gary Cress of Minerva, Robbie Cress of AZ, Gregory Cress of Kensington, Keith Cress of AZ, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 22nd from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home. Graveside services with full military honors will be Thursday at 10:15 a.m. in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
