Rickey W. Mendell Sr.

Age 76, of Malvern, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. He was born Feb. 13, 1945 in Vallejo, CA.  He retired from Colfor in Malvern.  He is a member of St. Francis and St. Gabriel Catholic Churches.  He is a US Marine Veteran and he graduated from Sandy Valley High School.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn (Jett) Mendell who died in 2019, his parents, Russ and Ruth (Allison) Kiko, 3 sisters, Linda and Diane Kiko, Judy King and a brother, Wayne Mendell.  He is survived by a daughter, Sherry (Mike) Roby of Magnolia, son, Rickey (Leah) Mendell Jr. of Malvern, 3 sisters, Donna Dziegelseski of Alliance, Jacqueline Mills of Canton, Sandy Schopperley of TX, 6 grandchildren, Jessica (John) Gieselman, Cortney (Luke) Roby, Rickey Mendell, Pierce Mendell, Dalin Mendell, Sabrina (Damien) Betts, 5 great grandchildren, Trisen and Ben Roby, Johnny, Harmony and Madelyn Gieselman.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Dec. 18 ^th in St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant. Burial with full military honors will be in St. Francis Catholic Church Cemetery in Malvern.  Calling hours will be one hour prior to services at St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
