Rick E. Cyders, age 64, of Homeworth, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 following injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born Aug. 19, 1948 in Marion, OH to the late Warren Cyders and Louise (Isett) Cyders – Patrick. He retired as a Teacher for Youngstown City Schools, having taught for 17 years at Minerva Local Schools. He graduated from Marion Harding High School, received his Bachelors of Education from Urbana, coached wrestling for 25 years in Minerva, Boardman, GlenOak and Alliance schools. He was a member of the Minerva First Christian Church in Minerva where he was a choir member and a former Deacon for many years and also volunteered at Alliance Community Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Jean ( White) Cyders whom he married June 11, 1972; 4 children, Amy (Kenny) Thomas of Malvern, Mollee (Curtis) Markins of Minerva, Erick (Alaynna) Cyders of Homeworth , Ashlee Cyders of Kensington; a brother, Robert (Janet) Cyders of Ashland, mother-in-law, Betty White of Minerva, 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
