Richard "Skip" Everett, Age 84, of Minerva, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015. He was born Aug. 9, 1931 in Alliance, OH to Fred and Erma (Hetherington) Everett. He retired from Burns Cold Forge/MascoTech in Minerva as the controller. He was a 48 year member and former Chief of the Minerva Fire Department. He is a member of Minerva First Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Myrl (Carson) Everett whom he married Dec. 24, 1950, 4 daughters, Mindy (Bill) Myers of Durham, NC, Cindy (Jim) Kibler of Malvern, Lisa Everett of Alliance and Jodi (Pepper) Locke of Minerva, brother, Wilfred Everett of N. Benton, 11 grandchildren; Kyle (Stephanie) Kibler, Jennifer Kibler, Karli (Dave) Markoski, Toni (Chris) Fink, Todd Trussel, Alison (Adam) Smitley, Heather and Dylan Myers, Ryker, Keanan and Jantsen Locke, 4 great grandchildren, Tyler and Kelsie Fink, Kenna and Kira Kibler and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Timmerman and 3 brothers, Fred, Bill and Earl Everett.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Ben George officiating followed by last alarm fire services presented by the Fire Department. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 5-8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Minerva Fire Department Memorial Equipment Fund or Minerva First Presbyterian Church.
