Richard “John” Montgomery

Age 70, of Hanoverton, passed away Friday, August 21, 2026 in the Blossom Nursing Center in Salem. He was born April 20, 1956 in Salem to Floyd and Ellen (Fetters) Montgomery. He was a custodian for United Local Schools for 20 years and worked for Midwest Brokerage for 20 years. He graduated from United Local in 1974.

He is survived by a sister, Linda Curfman of Beloit, 2 brothers, Jack Smalley of East Rochester, Ronald Smalley of Hanoverton and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Vivian Sander and Ellen Louise Schartiger and a brother, Floyd Leonard Montgomery.
