Richard R. Fry

Age 85, of Minerva, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born Dec. 14, 1937 in Sharon, PA. He retired from the James River Corp./Alcoa in Minerva where he was a supervisor for 36 years and was co-owner of the Great Trail Golf Course for 31 years.  He is a member of the Malvern First Christian Church.  He graduated from Minerva High School in 1955 and attended Mount Union College, Ohio University and Kent State University. Richard's passion were sports, his family and family vacations to Myrtle Beach and Lake Norman, NC and going on cruises with Beverly.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Beverly (Parker) Fry who died in 2016, his parents, Romain and Geraldine Fry and a brother, Gary Fry. He is survived by 2 daughters, Kelli (Jeff) Betler, Darci Bingham, sister, Laurie (Walt) McClellan, brother, Steve (Cathy) Fry of Minerva, 4 grandchildren, Amee (Collin) Glasser, Jeena Needham, Kourtney (Mike) Groholy, Crue Bingham and 7 great grandchildren, Sophee Eick, Riley Shingleton, Kennedy Shingleton, Pyper Glasser, Michael Groholy, Jamesson Glasser and Calvin Groholy.
