Richard L. Essick

Age 98, of Minerva, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021 in Altercare of Alliance. He was born Oct. 25, 1922 in Moultrie to Howard and Reba (Sanor) Essick.  He worked for Alliance Manufacturing for 44 years. He is member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alliance.  He graduated from Minerva High School in 1940 and is a US Army Veteran of WWII.  He is a member of the Alliance American Legion and the Minerva Historical Society.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean (Stanley) Essick who died in 2019 and a sister, Twila Schmidt.  He is survived by many cousins.

A graveside service will be held Monday, Oct. 4 ^th at 11:00 a.m. in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Timothy Muse officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alliance.
