Richard W. Crawford, age 61, of Minerva, died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in Aultman Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, following a sudden illness. He was born Oct. 11, 1950 in Salem, OH to Paul and Agnes (Schotsch) Crawford. He worked as an attendant for the drive thru for Classic 57, had worked for Van's Sport Shop, Bill Heubner Boat Sales and Prudential. He also attended the Minerva First Christian Church in Minerva where he sung in the choir and was a former Scoutmaster in Millport, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife Kim (Morgan) Crawford who he married Mar. 6, 1971; a daughter, Adessa (Jonathan) Butler of Wappingers Falls, NY; 2 sisters, Dona McCloskey of Minerva, Ruth Blake of New Mexico; a half sister, Eileen (Richard) Shanker of Salem; a brother, David Crawford of Florida; a half brother, Arlan (Eileen) Crawford of Youngstown; a special sister-in-law, Mildred Crawford of California; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in the Minerva First Christian Church in Minerva with Mr. Ralph Norman and Mr. Dale Roberts officiating. Calling hours will be from 1:00 – 4:00, 3 hours prior to services, at the church.
