Richard Cox

age 74, of Malvern, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2023 in Aultman Hospital. He was born Aug. 27, 1948 in Towanda, PA to the late John and Dolores (Sayman) Cox. Dick was one of the funniest, most jovial guys you could meet. He always had a joke to tell and knew how to make a light-hearted conversation. A true statement of someone who would "give you the shirt off his back!" He loved the game of chess, faithfully followed the Miami Dolphins, was obsessed with the TV series MASH, and was an exceptional wizard with his crossword puzzles. And one amazing, home-style cook!

Dick graduated high school and entered the workforce and held different positions usually in warehouse management. He retired and spent his retirement years with his family and caretaking for his best friend and former wife, Patricia until her death. He is survived by his children, Josie (Mark), Toni (Vic), Don (Maggie), grandchildren, Joe, Nicole (Andy), Stephanie, Lexi (Jorge), and Jac, siblings, John (Ruth Ann) Cox, and Barb (Herb) Hawkins. He is preceded in death by his younger brother, Robert Cox and his "precious" Shitzu, Honey.

His journey was difficult at the end, and he did not want to leave his Earth life. We are eternally grateful to his special advocate and end of life caretaker, Dana. May his soul meet with the splendor and peace awaiting him and prayerfully may the angels, and Rose, Dolores, and Pat surround him throughout his untimely passage.

According to his wishes, there will be no formal services.
