Ray W. Becker, Age 86, of Minerva died Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in Minerva Eldercare. He was born May 19, 1930 in Louisville to Edward and Rosa (Schmidt) Becker. He was a maintenance foreman for Bowdil Co. in Canton and owned Becker Upholstery for many years. He is a US Army and US Navy Veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Callahan) Becker whom he married in 1986; children, Rosena (Rodney) Ross of Mt. Enterprise, TX, Theresa Becker of Beloit, Michael (June) Becker of Minerva, Jeffrey (Kimberly) Becker of Canton, Melinda Mills of Austin, TX, Kevin (Wendy) Mills of Austin, TX; 16 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Jackie Roudebush, Hazel Roberts and 3 brothers, Bernard Becker, Clyde Ferguson, LeRoy Becker.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Brian Suntken officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 6-8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Crossroads Hospice.
