Ray A. Baker
Age 55, Minerva, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, March 30, 2015 in the Great Trail Care Center in Minerva after a long battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 14, 1960 in Canton to Shirley (Bracken) (Baker) Gerren of FL and the late Keith Baker who died in 1987.
He loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed shooting guns and tinkering in the garage. He was always available to help the family and friends with their many projects over the years. He is a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and was a 1979 graduate of Carrollton High School.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda (Boord) Baker whom he married Feb. 17, 1979, two sons; Jason (Jami) Baker of New Philadelphia and Jeremie (Rachael) Baker of Cleveland, 3 grandchildren; Nicholas, Alli and Tyson, 2 sisters; Connie (Chris) Judy of Dennison and Joann (Roy) Stuart of Mathis, TX, brother, Roger (Rhonda) Baker of Carrollton, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday 6-9 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with cremation to follow. A memorial service will be held Friday at 11:00 am in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church near Minerva with Pastor John Carpenter officiating.
