Obituary
Ray E. Arnold, age 79, of Alliance and formerly Minerva, died Thurs., June 14, 2012 in Oakhill Manor. He was born April 26, 1933 in Empire, OH to Frank and Eska (Ferguson) Arnold. He retired from Republic Steel after 30 years of service. He is a US Army Air Corp. Veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn "Marlin" (Keller) Arnold whom he married Apr. 20, 1957; daughter, Vicky Sargent of Anchorage, AK; sister, Ella Mae Wilson; 3 grandchildren, Victor (Stephanie) Sargent, Andrew and Anna Sargent; 2 great grandchildren, Hailey and Aeva Sargent; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a son, Van Arnold in 2011; sister, Mary Lou Wilkin and a brother, Wayne Arnold.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Harley Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday 2-4 pm in the funeral home.
