Randy L. Petros
Age 53 of Minerva died Wed. March 23, 2011 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 26, 1957 in Canton to Anne (Recchio) Petros of Minerva and the late Dominic Petros. He was a cement contractor for R. L. Petros Cement in Minerva, a 1976 graduate of Minerva High School and member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva.
In addition to his mother he is survived by a daughter, Breanna Petros of Massillon, son Randee Petros of the home, two sisters; Sandy Boldizsar of Minerva and Pam (Joel) Edwards of N. Canton, three brothers; Dominic "Nick" (Marlene) Petros Jr. of Minerva, Jerry (Aimee) Petros of Louisville and Garry and (Tricia Kutz) Petros of Minerva and several nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends including Mike Hawkins of Minerva. He was preceded in death by a brother Larry Petros. He was the strongest man we ever knew.
At his request, following cremation, a Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 am in St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to services at the church. The family would like to thank Alliance Visiting Nurse and Hospice for their wonderful care.
