Randy A. Barnes, age 62, of Minerva, died Wed., Jan 7, 2015. He was born June 10, 1952 in Mansfield to Beverly (Watson) Henson of Minerva and the late Alvin Barnes. He is a truck driver for Diano Cement in Canton and had worked for Louis Petros and Sons Concrete in Minerva. He graduated from Minerva High School in 1970 and is a US Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. He is a member of the Minerva VFW Post #4120, Malvern American Legion Post #375 and the Minerva Eagles Aerie #2199.

In addition to his mother and stepfather, Beverly and Leonard Henson of Minerva, he is survived by his wife, Sarah "Sallie" (Wheatley) Barnes whom he married June 12, 1982; daughter, Emily Barnes (William Crosbie) of Minerva; 2 sisters, Susie (Joe) Featheringham of Minerva, Karen Bolton of Minerva, several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Tim Sturms and Lynn Campbell.

He is preceded in death by his father and a sister, Georgia Galbraith.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
