Ralph “Scoo” McCully

Age 92, of Minerva, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2026. He was born January 25, 1934 in Carrollton to Earl and Merle (House) McCully. He lived his early years in Carrollton and moved to Minerva in the fifth grade. He played many sports for the Minerva Lions, but golf became his favorite. If the sun was shining he was golfing. He is member of the Minerva First Christian Church and the Four Square Sunday School Class. He retired from the Railroad where he was a conductor.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores (Blackledge) (Vandegrift) McCully whom he married January 25, 2008, daughter-in-law, Holly (Rick) Morgan and family, Lorey Draher, Garee (Julie) McCully, Diane “Nie” (David) Schoonover, Linda Vandegrift, Carl “Butch” (Joann) Vandegrift, 16 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for family will be held at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Chris Sanford officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
