R. Rick Amelung

Age 63, of Minerva, died Thursday, June 6, 2019 in Altercare of Alliance. He was born Nov. 15, 1955 in Canton to Robert Leonard Amelung and Donna Faye (Ward) Campbell. He worked at Minerva Welding for 14 years and was a truck driver. He was a member of the Minerva Eagles Aerie #2199 and the Minerva VFW Aux. #4120.

He is survived by 3 sisters, Sue (Jess) Paxson of NC, Gloria Cress of NC, Donna Streight of TN; a brother, Lynn (Sara) Campbell of Cleveland. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Randall Amelung and John Campbell.

Funeral Services will be Monday at 12 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Burial will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the services from 11 to 12 Monday.
