Peggy Wiley
Age 89, of Minerva, died Thursday, November 21, 2013 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born May 23, 1924 in Huthwaite, England to Sam and Eva (Wyss) Scotherhen. She was a housewife, a former member of Esther Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star in Minerva and loved dancing, especially ballroom and square dancing.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Warren Wiley who died Nov. 30, 2009. She is survived by 2 daughters, Cherry Wiley of Minerva, Tami (Charles) DePalmo on Minerva; 2 sons, Dana (Dolly) Wiley of Massillon, Kim (Christine) Wiley of Magnolia; 2 sisters, Dorothy Clarke of Worksop, UK, June (Harold) Coupe of Sutton-in-Ashfield, UK; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday in the chapel at East Lawn Cemetery with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Alliance visiting Nurse and Hospice.
