Peggy A. Romine

Age 67, of North Canton and formerly Malvern, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026 in the Hospice of Western Reserve. She was born December 9, 1958 in Canton to the late Leonard and Ruth Ellen (Clemens) Witzcak. She retired from St. Gabriel and St. Francis Catholic Churches in Minerva and Malvern where she was the Secretary, Organist and Choir Director for 18 years. Formerly she had worked for St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Alliance and currently attends St. Paul’s Catholic Church in North Canton. She graduated from Central Catholic High School. She devoted a lifetime to serving her church and her church family and will be dearly missed by those who knew and worked with her.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister and leaves behind her husband of 47 years, Michael Romine whom she married May 25, 1979, daughter, Jane (Jeff) Vogel of North Canton, son, Keith (Kim) Romine of East Canton, sister, Nancy Fahrni of Massillon, brother, Michael Witzcak of Massillon and 4 grandchildren, Gabriel and Katelyn Vogel, Grady and Brody Romine and she will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Don Fahrni.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in St. Francis Catholic Church in Malvern with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday 6:00-8:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva where a wake service will be held at 7:45 pm.
