Peggy Cole

Age 78, of Mathis, Texas, passed away January 4, 2018 in Doctors Regional Hospital in Corpus Christi TX. She was born November 23, 1940 in Andrews, NC to the late Marshall & Nina (Mae) Lambert. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Cole, in December 2011. Frank and her owned & operated Cap's Grocery in Minerva for several years. She lived most of her life in Ohio and Texas. The joy of her life was spending time with and cooking for her extended family, especially the babies and young ones. She is a member of the Carrollton Baptist Temple.

She is survived by a sister, Betty Milby of Kentucky; two children, Denzil (Betty) Cole of Minerva and Deanna (Larry) Stoffer of Carrollton; 4 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a son, Dale Cole; a sister & brother in law, Marvin and Kate Totherow; six brothers, Jeff, Kenneth, Dewitt, Richard, Benjamin and Harold Lambert; a great grandson, and a great great granddaughter.

Funeral will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor David Powell officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Calling hours will be two hours prior to services.
