Pearl Thompson
Pearl Thompson, age 92 of Waynesburg, died Sat. Feb. 26, 2011 in Aultman Hospital.  She was born April 7, 1918 in Canton to William and Rebecca (Buchanan) Hamberg. She was a housewife and an inspector at the Timken Co. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1938, was the Treasurer of Magnolia Grange #1698 where she was a member of 53 years and member of Pomona, State and National Grange, International 1918 Birthday Club and a 4-H Advisor for 21 years.  Pearl was well known for her pie baking.
She is preceded in death by her husband George Thompson who died in 1985 and a brother George Keys.  She is survived by two daughters; Barbara (Edward) Medved of Malvern and Shirley Beatty of Malvern, a son Raymond George (Kathryn) Thompson Sr. of Malvern, 7 grandchildren; Raymond George (Sheri) Thompson Jr., Lisa Davis, Angela Grubb, Vincent Thompson, Denise (Shawn) Glasure, Jason and April Dulaney and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Fr. Joe Zamry officiating.  Burial will be in Sandy Valley Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Wednesday 5-8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Magnolia Grange #1698 c/o Elaine Rose at 7050 Minerva Rd. SE, Waynesburg, OH  44688.
