Pearl E. Reikowsky
Age 100, of Minerva died peacefully in her home, Saturday, May 13, 2017, surrounded by her family. The oldest of 6 children born to Russell W. and Leona (Stump) Hinton on Oct. 28, 1916, she was the last surviving sibling. She was a farm wife, mother and business owner. She was the owner and operator of Dan's Pizza Shop in Minerva from 1966-1981 when she retired. She is a 64 year member of the Minerva First Christian Church and the 4-Square Sunday School Class. She was an avid bowler and a graduate of North Canton High School in 1934.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin whom she married July 19, 1941 and who died on Jan. 3, 2003, 2 grandsons and a great grandson. She is survived by son, Richard (Kathy) Reikowsky of Sebring, 3 daughters, Elizabeth Stone of Minerva, Margaret Reikowsky of Canton and Kathy (David) Winter of Minerva, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Minerva First Christian Church with Pastor Dale Roberts officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday 6-8 pm at the Minerva First Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church memorial fund.
