Pauline V. Pitre

Age 75, of East Rochester, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 23, 1950 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to Rene and Cecile (Desmarais) Belanger.  She was a social worker for Minerva Eldercare for 30 years.  She loved crafting and craft shows and had a craft business for several years and loved spending her free time camping and going to casinos. Pauline lived for her grandchildren and her greatest joy in life was her family.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, George Pitre whom she married June 10, 1967, a daughter, Michelle Pitre of Carrollton, 4 sons, George (Lisa) Pitre of Akron, Roger (Roger Smith) Pitre of Canton, Don (Jennifer) Pitre of Mt. Vernon, MO, Jason (Alicia) Pitre of East Rochester, sister, Lucille Pitre of Alberta, Canada, brother, Paul Belanger of RI, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Therese Alarie, Doris Grenon and a brother, Rene Belanger Jr.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev.
