Paul O. Morckel, Age 93, of Robertsville, died Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in the Schoenbrunn Healthcare. He was born March 13, 1922 in Minerva to Harry and Maggie (Whitten) Morckel. He retired from Union Metal where he was a machinist for 27 years. He graduated from Minerva High School in 1941 and is a US Army Veteran of WWII, member of the DAV #6 in Canton and the National AARP.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Laura Marie (Lehman) Morckel whom he married March 22, 1946, brother, David (Sarah) Morckel of Magnolia and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services with full military honors will be Saturday at 7:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Peggy Gardner officiating. Calling will be 5-7pm Saturday prior to services. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery on Sunday at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Sandy Creek Joint Fire District.
