Patricia M. Houze

Age 71, of Minerva, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023 in Aultman Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. She was born May 5, 1951 in Canton to the late Donald and Margaret (Cope) Ward. She was a homemaker and graduated from Minerva High School in 1969.  She is a member of the Minerva First Christian Church where she was a former member of the choir, the Home Dept. and a former Deaconess.  She delivered meals for Minerva Community Meals.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Houze who died in 2020 and a brother-in-law, Ron Shatzer. She is survived by 2 daughters, Christina (Kevin) Cox of Minerva, Courtney (Chris) Lenarz of Uhrichsville, sister, Lynnette Shatzer of Minerva, 3 grandchildren, Andrew (Kaitlyn) Cox, Justin (April Brown) Cox, Hunter (Haley Williamson) Cox and 3 great grandchildren, Bella, Brantley and Emberlynn.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Dale Roberts officiating.  Calling hours will be Sunday from 11am to 1 pm prior to services at the funeral home. Following cremation, burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
