Patricia A. Hixenbaugh

Patricia Arden (Shaffer) Hixenbaugh from McDaniel allotment, age 69 of Minerva, passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023 in Aultman Hospital.  She was born Oct. 26, 1953 in Canton to the late Marvin and Dorothe (McKenzie) Shaffer.  She retired from DLH Industries in East Canton where she was a Quality Control Inspector for 36 years and currently with the Kishman's IGA in Minerva.  She graduated from Minerva High School in 1971 and is a member of the Malvern First Christian Church, the Minerva VFW Aux. and was a former member of Dancing Country and Dancing Buddies.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Rick Hixenbaugh whom she married May 16, 1981, 2 sons, Brandon Hixenbaugh of Minerva, Bryce (Shaunette) Hixenbaugh of Carrollton, 4 grandchildren, Destiny, Hayden, Zoey and Avah, a niece, Jodi (John) Lovelace, nephew, Jason Shaffer and many cousins, especially Mary Jayne Hines of Minerva. She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Stephanie Hixenbaugh and a brother Douglas Shaffer.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 6:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Kenny Thomas and Mr. Mark Black officiating.  Calling hours will be Thursday 2 hours prior to services from 4- 6 pm at the funeral home.
