Norma K. Gross
Age 87 of Minerva died Tuesday Aug. 7, 2012 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born March 25, 1925 in Minerva to Herman Boyd and Marjorie (Weikert) Walker. She had worked for St. John's Villa in Carrollton and The Old King Cole Co. in Louisville. She is a member of the Minerva Church of the Nazarene and helped deliver meals for Minerva Community Meals for many years.
She is survived by 2 daughters; Christine Thorne of Minerva and Sharon (Greg) McDaniel of Minerva, son, Darrin (Kristina) Gross of Magnolia, sister, Bernice Tennant of Minerva, brother, Jim (Joyce) Walker of Minerva, brother-in-law, Robert Midcap of Minerva, sister-in-law, Bev Walker of Minerva, 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Lindley Bailey who died in 1959 and Walter Gross Sr. who died in 1996, son, Walter Gross Jr., stepdaughter, Bonnie Campbell, 3 sisters; Marilyn Midcap, Dorothy Wilt, Phyllis Hamilton and a brother, Richard Walker.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Tim Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 6-8 pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Minerva Community Meals.
