Nancy H. Parker

Age 88, of Magnolia, passed away Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024 in Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton. She was born Dec. 17, 1935 in Akron to James and Marie (Hamrick) Carmichael. She retired from the Uniontown Post Office where she had worked for 25 years.  She had formerly worked for Isaly's and Monarch Rubber.  She is a member of the Sandy Valley Baptist Temple where she was the former Treasurer.  She was a seamstress and loved working with her flowers and enjoying the hummingbirds.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Parker who died Feb. 17, 2012, a sister, Mary Carmichel, and a brother, James Barry Carmichel.  She is survived by a daughter, Gay Parker of Magnolia, 2 sons, Dustin (Chris) Parker of Mount Sterling, Michael Lee Parker of Philippi, WV, sister, Norma Jean Torinni of St. Louis, MO, 5 grandchildren; Charity (Craig) Patterson, Amie (James) Chapman, Eric (Lydia) Parker, Heather (Fiance, Damon) Parker, Tony Parker, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 am in the Sandy Valley Baptist Temple with Pastor Dan Sunde officiating.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Thursday 6-8 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva.
