Obituary

Miriam K. Swearingen, age 95, of Cuyahoga Falls, formerly of Minerva and Kensington, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in Sunrise Senior Living of Cuyahoga Falls. She was born Oct. 6, 1917 in Paris, OH to Levi and Eva (Weimer) Krabill. She retired from TRW Metals in Minerva and was a Member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Cuyahoga Falls.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Swearingen who died in 1963; 2 sons, Gary and Bruce Swearingen; 3 sisters, Pauline Maldoven, Evelyn Grady and Bernice Krabill; and 4 brothers, Melvin, Donald, Olan, Wayne, Randall and Wendell Krabill.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Gail Swearingen of Cuyahoga Falls, Nancy (Cliff) Hill of Oriental, NC, Carol Swearingen of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter-in-law, Shirley Swearingen of Winchester, VA; 3 grandsons, Michael (Penny)Hill, Sr., Matthew (Kim) Hill, Mark Swearingen; and 5 great grandchildren, Kailee, Matthew, Michael, Samuel and Joshua, 6 nieces and 4 nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Robert Lentz officiating. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Those unable to attend may sign the online register book at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com. The family would like to extend a thank you to the Sunrise Senior Living Center family for all of their wonderful care and a special thank you to her niece, Juanita Plum for all her special notes of encouragement. Memorial donation may be made to the church.
