Mildred "Mid" Wartluft
Age 79 of Minerva died Wed. March 23, 2011 in Aultman Hospital. She was born April 28, 1931 in Carroll County to Harold and Elizabeth (Schory) Shields. She retired as an Executive Secretary for James River Corp. formerly Minerva Wax Paper Co. and had also worked for Henri's Cloud Nine Bridal Shoppe. She graduated from Minerva High School and is a member of the Minerva First Christian Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband John "Jack" Wartluft who died in 1976 and a son Gary Wartluft. She is survived by a daughter, Diane (William) Kertes of Minerva, sister, Dorothy (James) Kirney of Minerva and brother, Donald (Barbara) Shields of Minerva, two grandchildren; Dustin Kertes and Kristin Barrett and a great granddaughter Macy Barrett.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 am in the Minerva First Christian Church with Mr. Ralph Norman and Mr. Dale Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 5-8 pm in the Minerva First Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or the Minerva Area Christian School.
