Mildred C. Marshall

Age 92, of Canton and formerly Minerva, passed away Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023 in the Inn at University Circle in Massillon.  She was born Aug. 26, 1931 in Luthersburg, PA to William and Rhoda (London) Soliday. She had worked for Halter Pretzels in Canton and for Ohio Drill and Tool in Homeworth. She is a member of the New Franklin United Methodist Church and a former member of the Minerva VFW Aux. #4120 and Minerva Eagles Aerie #2199.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin F. Marshal who died in 2015, son Melvin D. Marshall who died in 2007, 5 sisters, Juanita Price, Beaulah Smith, Esther Smith, Naomi Weckbacher, Ada Hoover, 5 brothers, Warren, Ralph, William, Meryl and Noah Soliday.  She is survived by 2 daughters, Judith (Bill) Miknis of Navarre, Joyce (Greg) Robinson of Jacksonville, FL, daughter-in-law, Debra Marshall of Beloit, 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 12 noon in the New Franklin United Methodist Church with Pastor Chris Ullman officiating.  Calling hours will be one hour prior to services from 11am to noon at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
