Mickey "Pete" White

Age 78, of Minerva, died Friday, March 6, 2020 in the Arbors of Minerva. He was born Oct. 14, 1941 in Moundsville, WV to Walter and Nora (Wise) White. He retired from American Steel in Alliance where he had worked for 38 years. He is a US Army Veteran. He is a 37-year member of the Great Trail Mountain Man Club and was active in black powder shoots.  He loved hunting and making candle lanterns.  He loved his extended family around the world.

He is survived by his wife, Carole (Kelley) White whom he married Oct. 2, 1982, 3 sons, Michael White of Salineville, Donald White of Wrightsville Beach, NC, Arthur (Gala) White of Beloit, 2 stepsons, Richard (Deborah) Grether of Dover, TN, Ronald (Yolanda) Grether of Holly Springs, NC, sisters, Cecil Truex of Moundsville, TN, Erma Carney of Moundsville, WV, Orpha Ross of Moundsville, WV, Connie Current of Grafton, WV, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Linda White, 5 sisters, Nancy Brumbaugh, Bobbie Nestor, Mary Burge, Violet "Blue" Wood, Twila Adams, and a brother, Albert "Abby" White.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Sam "Bear" Ladrach officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 hours prior to the service from 12-2 pm at the funeral home.
