Michael D. Melching Sr.

It is with great sadness the family of Michael D. Melching Sr. announces his passing. Michael, age 54, of East Canton and formerly Robertsville, died peacefully at home on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018. He was born April 27, 1964 in Tiltonsville, OH to the late Clarence Melching and Beverly (Girga) (Melching) Flint. Though a retired factory worker, Michael assisted friends with managing a local bar. He is a US Army Veteran and member of the Tiltonsville VFW and Minerva VFW. He is survived and lovingly remembered by 2 sons, Michael Melching Jr. of Bolivar and Joshua D. Melching of Washington, D.C.; former wife of 30 years, Darla Melching of Pittsburgh, PA; brother, Douglas (Mary Ann) Melching of Tiltonsville; sister, Deanna L. Flint of Tiltonsville. He is preceded in death by a sister, Toni Sindeldecker.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Friday from 5-8 pm at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva where military honors will be held at 8:00 pm by the Carroll County Honor Guard. All family and friends are welcome to visit.
