Merle L. Hull
Age 84, of Salineville, passed away Wed., March 18, 2026, at the Carroll Golden Age Retreat. He was born May 17, 1941, in Salineville to Earl and Mary (McClain) Hull. He worked at TRW/PCC Airfoils in Minerva for 42 years, starting in July in 1962 and retired in June of 2004. He had previously worked for Melhorn Dairy in Salineville. He is a member of the Riley’s Methodist Church in Salineville. He enjoyed cars and drag racing at Magnolia and Quaker Speedway. He was a huge collector of tools, tractors, excavating equipment and guns and loved anything to do with tractors and tractor pulls, moving dirt with one of his many bulldozers and making hay in the summer. He always loved a good auction and always came away with something that he needed. He also like hunting, beagle dogs and never turned down a good meal or multiple desserts at one sitting.
He is survived by a sister, Connie Orr of Columbus, brother-in-law, Mark Cargill of Minerva, sister-in-law, Judy Hull of Lisbon, 7 nieces, Cindy (Mick) Berg of Malvern, Tammy (Roger) Bryer of Calcutta, Michelle (Donny) Featherstone of Calcutta, Lisa Cargill of Minerva, Deanna (Randy) Sommers of Lithopolis, OH, Cara (Jeremy) Seidt of Columbus, Jodine Hull of Lisbon, 8 nephews, Jim (Ann) Hull of Minerva, Wes (Margaret) Hull of Lisbon, Brian Cargill of Carrollton, Kevin (Tammy) Hull of Leetonia, Frank (Debbie) Sneyd of Charlotte, NC, Ross (Warren) Sneyd of Maine, Jason Hull of Calcutta and Brad (Gina) Eshler of Waynesville. He is preceded in death by 5 sisters, Martha Sneyd, Jean Hull, Joann Hull, Linda Cargill, Marvis Eshler, 2 brothers, Howard and Jim Hull, a niece, Mary Lou Gilispie and 3 nephews, Randy Hull, Cliff and Jimmy Snyder.
Following cremation, there will be no formal services. The family would like to thank the staff of the Carroll Golden Age Retreat and Ohio Hospice for all of their wonderful care.
