Melvin "Bill" Myers, Age 85, of Minerva, died Sat., March 26, 2016 at Minerva Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was born June 25, 1930 in Paris to Victor and Stella (Hiner) Myers. He retired from PCC and was the owner of Bill Myers Enterprises and had worked at the Minerva Wax Paper Co., Homestead Meat and Cronin China. He is a member of the Mt. Zion Church of God and a lifetime member of the VFW Aux. #4120, and a former member of the Minerva Lions Club and Minerva Eagles. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing and listening to gospel and country music.
He is survived by a sister, Lola Beadnell of Hanoverton, brother, Glenwood Myers of Clearwater, FL, nieces and nephews, Ann Hinton, Pat Quillen, Carl (Jan) Myers Jr., Barbara (Larry) Rhea, Linda Myers, Ray "Buddy" (Peggy) Myers Jr., Billy Myers, Roger (Shirley) Myers, Richard Myers, Tom (Connie) Beadnell, Ron (Janie) Beadnell, Raymond Beadnell, Kenny Beadnell, Don Keister, Carole Lance, Beverly (Sam) Murphy, Larry Myers, Gail Myers and Karen Kanter. He is preceded in death by a sister, Eileen Keister, 3 brothers, Walter, Carl and Ray Myers, 3 nephews and 2 great nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Leamon Whitehead officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday 6-8 pm and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
