Melvin F. Marshall
Age 85, of Minerva, died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015 in Oakhill Manor. He was born Aug. 4, 1930 in Luthersburg, PA to Irvin and Anne (Hartzfeld) Marshall. He retired in 1983 from Sugardale Provision where he had worked for 32 years. He is a member of the New Franklin United Methodist Church. He had been a trustee for the Minerva Eagles Aerie #2199 and a social member of the Canton VFW #3747.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mildred (Soliday) Marshall whom he married April 9, 1950, 2 daughters, Judy (Bill) Miknis of Navarre and Joyce (Greg) Robinson of Jacksonville, FL, 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death a son, Melvin D. Marshall, 2 sisters, Oleta London and Irene Marshall, 7 brothers, Roy, Merle, Glenn, Bair, Carl, James and Elmer Marshall.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Wed., Oct. 14th at 12 noon in the New Franklin United Methodist Church with Pastor Elaine Weaver officiating. Calling hours will be one hour prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
