Mary F. Petros, age 92, of St. Luke Lutheran Community in Minerva, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013 in The Laurels of Massillon surrounded by her family. She was born Dec. 3, 1920 in Alliance, Ohio to Pasquale and Martha (Plastine) Villella. She was a housewife and was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva where she was a member of the CWC.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Petros who died in 1999; a daughter, Mary Hope; and her brothers; Dominic, Louis and Jerry and her sisters; Lena, Edythe, Angie, Beatrice, Joanne and Patricia "Pinky".

She is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia (Paul) Phillips of Boca Raton, FL, Teresa (Jamie) Morckel of Canton; 3 sons, Frank (Beth) Petros, Jr. of Twinsburg, Louis (Sandy) Petros of Mt. Vernon, John (Debra) Petros of Minerva; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Mass of the Christian burial will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Those unable to attend may sign the online register book at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
