Mary L. Sanor
Age 89, of East Rochester, died Sat. June 16, 2012 in the Sterling House in Alliance. She was born Nov. 1, 1922 in Salem to William and Lena (Schenk) Lengacher. She is a member of the East Rochester United Methodist Church and currently attending the Beechwood United Methodist Church in Alliance. She attended Minerva High School, is a member of the United Methodist Women, the Township Liners Farm Bureau, lifetime member and past president of the George D. Worth American Legion Aux. of North Georgetown, member of the Stark County Council American Legion, past president of the 10th District American Legion Aux. and was the area delegate for the American Legion at the National Convention for several years.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Wilbur Wickersham who died in 1967 and L. Olan Sanor who died in 2001. She is survived by 2 daughters; Marianne (Richard) Gergel of Minerva and Joann (Kelly) Montgomery of Logan, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Scott Williams and Rev. James Rice officiating. Burial will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beechwood United Methodist Church.
